FTP

The advantage of FTP is that is an old and established technology. There are major downsides though. Data is often transferred unencrypted unless SFTP or FTPS is set up. It is relatively slow since it is reliant on a single TCP connection that gets very slow over high latency networks. Also - there is no integrity check of the data being sent, meaning that there is a real risk of data corruption when sending huge files.

WeTransfer

WeTransfer has a super nice design and is very easy to use. However - you can only send 2 GB with the free account and 20 GB with a paid account. WeTransfer has no Desktop apps - and the service is also missing integrity checks when transferring files. Furthermore - WeTransfer should not be used to send sensitive data and it should definitely not be used at a workplace since WeTransfer does not do any Virus Scanning of files being sent. Think twice before the next time you download files from WeTransfer - it's might very well be a virus infecting your entire workplace.

Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive etc.

These cloud storage solutions are now the de-facto standard of storing and working with files. The advantage is that they are available through the cloud on all your devices - and you don't have to think about backups. It's a great way of handling your own files - but it's far from the best way of sharing files with others. You have to keep track yourself of who you have shared files/folders with - meaning that you also need to the tedious task of removing access. Furthermore - these solutions offer no branding/customization options. They are also slow (when dealing with files > 10 GB) - and they also have very limited anti virus solutions in place.

Transfer large files securely using Filemail

Signiant and Accelion

These corporate file transfer services has one thing going for them - transfer speed. They send files using their own UDP based proprietary transfer protocols - which might be faster than alternatives when sending files across large geographical distances. The downsides of these solutions is that they have user interfaces seemingly made in 1997 and they are extremely expensive. PS - Filemail also offers a UDP based transfer protocol which in benchmarks has been shown to be faster than both Signiant and Accelion.
